Last month we bid farewell to three legendary members of our team, each leaving behind a mark on Hopkins with their combined 16 years of service. While their departure leaves a void, we couldn’t be happier for them starting their next chapter in life.

Brian has been instrumental in our specialist infrastructure department, spearheading major projects such as St. Marks School, Moulsecoomb Student Accommodation, and beyond.
Peter’s infectious energy and leadership has been integral to the success of our Thames Valley Regionโs team since its inception.
Alanโs dedication to develop positive relationships with our clients to provide the best outcome on his assigned projects, whilst always teaching our apprentices the golden rule of being a quality installer โmeasure twice, cut onceโ will undoubtedly be missed.
As they seek new adventures, we extend our heartfelt wishes for success and fulfilment in all their endeavours. Though they may no longer be colleagues, they will remain cherished friends at Hopkins.

Today weโre shining our spotlight on one of our current projects, Royal Berkshire Hospital, delivered by our Special Projects Team. ๐ทโโ๏ธ ๐ทโโ๏ธ
๐ง Project Details:
We’re currently on-site, partnering closely with the Royal Berkshire Estates Department, to implement crucial upgrades. This includes the installation of a new LV Main Switchboard, Generator LV Switchboard, and various Generator Controls within purpose-built facilities. As part of this process, we’re carefully relocating all existing sub mains to the new panels, following a planned sequence of works.

Operating within an NHS Hospital that runs 24/7, effective communication is paramount. Our Special Projects team, under Nick Hudson‘s leadership, is dedicated to seamless collaboration with the client, ensuring minimal disruption to essential services.

Mike Collins and Ellie Parker were nominated for this quarterโs Employee Recognition Award for the work carried out on a high value tender. In a very limited time, they produced one of the largest tenders ever within the business. The level of detail they went into not only gave the team great confidence in our tender submission, but it made a potentially difficult process go relatively smoothly. Their fantastic contribution gave the team the best possible chance of securing the project.
