We would like to congratulate 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 on his 𝟰𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 dedicated service to Hopkins. Neil was one of John and Barbara’s first employees and has held many roles within the company over the years. Neil started his career as a pipe-fitter welder with a local Park Gate company, Autowarm Ltd, before joining Hopkins in 1982. Congratulations Neil!!

We are delighted to have secured the Hounslow Infills project with Wates Construction. The development will be 4 projects in 1, spread across 4 different site locations. The 4 project sites are Everglades, Clements Court, Rose Gardens and Orchard Road and all sites are 4 to 5 miles apart from each other. In total, the scheme consists of 149no. 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and 5 town houses, to deliver additional affordable housing to the local authority . To ensure the Scheme reaches its goal of reducing its carbon emissions to net zero by 2030, all schemes have been designed to achieve a high level of sustainability in collaboration with specialist energy consultancies. Homes designed on each site utilise simple but effective construction techniques to minimise heat loss and maximise efficiency, as well as low carbon technologies including; air source heat pumps, increased levels of insulation and photovoltaic panels.
The project is due to start on site in September 2022 and complete in September 2023.
The Hopkins Spring Social Event held over from Christmas was a great success, we were blessed with good weather ☀️ and a fab time was had by all 🎤🍻 We are now looking forward to the next one!

This is a fantastic achievement, having started with the company back in 1997. Paul continues to make a positive contribution across the projects he is involved with and is a valuable member of the site team.

We were pleased to see so many of our staff give their time for our Ukrainian support appeal, where we held a dress down day with darts and pool competitions in our head office social club. So many of our colleagues pulled together to donate vital items which will be making their way to the Southampton Polski Social Club. Every little helps in this tough time 💛
In line with our Business Direction Plan, we are pleased to update you on the progress made to date and the exciting news that we can now share the following internal promotions.
In our Contracts department we presented the need for Regional Managers to now drive all three of our offices. We are pleased to announce that Neal Haworth has been appointed as the new Regional Manager for our Thames Valley office, and Nick Humber has been appointed as the new Regional Manager for our Fareham office.
In Major Projects we are pleased to announce the successful appointment of Robert Weston to Project Director.

Wates Group Construction has recognised J&B Hopkins for its continued and proactive approach to safety and wellbeing on their site at HMP Albany, IOW. Our operations team of Ian Strugnell and Dan Thorne have consistently looked to set new challenges and initiatives that have been formally recognised by the Wates site team to win their ‘South West Region Supply Chain Award 2021’ for ‘Health Safety and Wellbeing’. Well done to all involved and a special thanks to Charlotte Stevens – Assoc CIPD for her support on the Wellbeing Day.
