A month ago, colleagues representing every level of our organisation โ from apprentices taking their first steps in the industry to directors shaping our strategic vision joined our Senior Leadership Team for a pivotal session focused on Hopkinsโ long-term mission and strategic objectives.
The day provided an opportunity to celebrate our achievements, reaffirm the strategic pillars guiding our direction and outline the priorities that will shape the next five years.

Weโre proud to announce the completion of Robeson House, a 676-bed hall of residence developed in collaboration with EQUANS and the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
๐ Located just off Old Kent Road and adjacent to the 56-hectare Burgess Park, Robeson House offers modern, purpose-built accommodation exclusively for LSE graduate students. The building rises to 15 storeys in a stepped configuration, providing a vibrant and inspiring living environment for those studying at LSEโs Aldwych campus.

Weโre delighted to announce that Phil Trevett has been promoted to ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, a newly created senior leadership role at Hopkins.
In this position, Phil will lead several key business functions โ including HR, Payroll, Labour Resourcing, IT, Facilities, Administration, Compliance Support and Marketing โ while also driving critical priorities such as workforce development, digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Over the years, Phil has been instrumental in shaping our people-focused initiatives: from modernising our recruitment strategy and embedding the ELF system, to leading our development framework, SLT profiling and talent mapping. His leadership has already made a lasting impact, and this promotion reflects both the value of his contributions and our commitment to building strong, people-centred foundations across the business.
This appointment marks an important milestone for Hopkins โ the first time weโve positioned a senior leader with a primary focus on our people: their experience, wellbeing and development. Weโre excited to share that work is now underway at Signatureโs brand-new luxury care home in Surbiton, in the London Borough of Kingston-Upon-Thames! ๐ ๏ธ
Awarded to us by Feltham Construction, this development will deliver 86 high-end care suites and a wide range of communal facilities. Signature at Surbiton will offer assisted living, nursing, dementia, and respite care โ all within a thoughtfully designed space in a sought-after location. This home is set to raise the bar for care, lifestyle, wellbeing and luxury living.
Itโs also a boost for the local community, with around 120 new jobs being created across a mix of full-time and part-time roles. ๐ผ
Hopkins are delivering the full MEP package on this exciting project. Our Thames Valley Contracts team will be installing heating and cooling, ventilation, hot and cold water, fire alarms, above ground drainage, AOV systems, nurse call, EV charging, CCTV, access control, lightning protection and internal lighting. ๐กโก

Hopkins Energy & Special Projects are on site and working alongside ABB on the installation of the new shore-to-ship power system at Portsmouth International Port.
The teams are handling containment, high-voltage cabling and control cabling – including all terminations to equipment and e-houses, helping to bring this exciting infrastructure to life.
Itโs all part of the ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฎ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ project, a major step toward reducing emissions and cutting down air pollution in the harbour. Once complete, ferries and cruise ships will be able to plug into clean shore power instead of running their engines while docked. Big win for the environment! ๐
Our work supports ABBโs full shore connection solution, which includes drives, transformers, switchgear, e-houses, and more.
Itโs great to be playing a key role in such an important project and weโre proud to help push for cleaner, greener ports. ๐

Weโre proud to have been part of this positive and impactful project with Wates Construction South, supporting the local community near the HMP Parkhurst site.
The amazing team at HMP Parkhurst got stuck in and helped out during Wates Constructionโs Community Day at the Isle of Wight Foodbank. The crew rolled up their sleeves to give the Foodbankโs courtyard a much needed refresh – repainting the walls, shed, and planters to brighten up this vital wellbeing space for for staff and everyone who visits, particularly those who do not have access to a garden.
Hopkins also donated some benches, which were a perfect finishing touch and will be well-used by staff and visitors alike.
Big thanks to Wates Group for getting us involved, itโs always great to be part of something that makes a real difference.
We love a good excuse to let our hair down and our Summer Social was the perfect chance to do just that! ๐ป
Yesterday we had an awesome time hosting our Summer Social with our fantastic supply chain partners, YESSS Electrical (Joe Martin & Darren heather) and Toshiba Air Conditioning UK, at Boom Battle Bar Southampton!
