As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we were delighted to be invited by our client Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure to host a workshop at ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ผ๐๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐๐ผ๐ป. Morgan Sindall has a ๐ณ๐ถ๐๐ฒ-๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ with the school, dedicated to tackling the construction skills shortage and supporting the cityโs Southampton Pound initiative ensuring that job opportunities are created locally through collaboration between the public and private sectors.
This partnership focuses on ๐ฒ๐ป๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐บ, ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น-๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ ๐ฒ๐

During our visit, six members of the Hopkins team ranging from ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ ๐๐๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ป ๐๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ delivered a ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ธ, ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป for 12 students, covering:
๐น Who we are and what we do at Hopkins
๐น Management, leadership and site-based activities
๐น Real industry challenges such as recruiting, upskilling, an ageing workforce and financial constraints
๐น Brainstorming and problem-solving exercises
The engagement and enthusiasm from the students was incredible! Their feedback highlighted how valuable and eye-opening the experience was:
