🌟 National Apprenticeship Week – Apprentice Wednesday
From Apprentice to Director: Jason Parker’s 23 Year Journey at Hopkins
For Apprentice Wednesday, we’re proud to share the story of someone who truly represents what apprenticeships can lead to.
Jason joined J&B Hopkins in 2003 as an Apprentice, starting his journey in the Contracts Department before moving into Design. Over the years, he has delivered projects across multiple sectors, developed deep technical expertise and continually grown within the business.
In 2018, Jason joined the Hopkins Board and today leads our extensive Design team while supporting the wider business as Design & Pre‑Construction Director.
Here’s what Jason had to say about his journey:
“I joined Hopkins 23 years ago as an apprentice and I owe thanks to a lot of people past and present who provided me with the training and mentoring to achieve my career goals. I believe this demonstrates that Hopkins is a great place to learn your trade. I am proud to have risen from apprentice all the way to Design and Pre‑Construction Director, and I try to pass on my experiences to each new intake of apprentices.”
Jason’s journey reflects the long‑term progression and meaningful careers that apprenticeships can offer showing just how far the right support, opportunities and hard work can take you.
