The University of Sussex Health & Wellbeing Centre was developed to create a single, integrated hub for healthcare and wellbeing services, bringing together NHS primary care provision and University support services within one modern facility.

Located within Newick House on the University’s Falmer campus, the centre has been designed to provide a welcoming, accessible, and user-focused environment for students, staff, and the wider community. The facility supports a collaborative approach to physical and mental wellbeing by enabling healthcare professionals, counsellors, and wellbeing teams to work more closely together.

The building accommodates a range of spaces across multiple floors, including reception and waiting areas, GP consultation rooms, counselling and therapy suites, treatment rooms, office accommodation, and flexible spaces for workshops, clinics, and group sessions. Accessibility has been a key consideration throughout the design, ensuring all areas can be easily accessed and used by visitors.

The completed development provides a high-quality healthcare and wellbeing environment that enhances the delivery of support services, improves the user experience, and creates a central destination for integrated care and wellbeing provision across the University campus.
