A landmark project located in Sutton city centre, the new building comprises 140 Premier Inn bedrooms, of which 7 are universally accessible, with a 206 cover Bar + Block restaurant at street level. Full mechanical installation utilising a Mitsubishi City Multi VRF system coupled with central supply and extraction system with heat recovery, serving all bedrooms and restaurant, contributing towards the energy rating in order to comply with current building regulations and clients’ specification. In addition to the central ventilation heat recovery system, an air source heat pump has been installed to pre-heat the hotels hot water demand.
The Hilton Garden Inn, Abingdon, is a part refurbishment of an existing hotel combined with a new build. Inside the hotel consists of 146 bedrooms, restaurant, function suite, meeting rooms, bars, lounge areas and gym. The hotel is fully heated and cooled utilising high efficiency AHU’s and combined heat pump systems throughout to conform to the high quality set out by Hilton brand standards.
The redevelopment is being carried out by Bouygues UK on behalf of Runnymead Borough Council as part of the ‘Addlestone Town Centre Regeneration Programme’.
As part of this development Hopkins carried out the design and installation of the energy centre and district heating network.
In addition to this Hopkins also carried out the design and installation of the mechanical services to the 101 bedroom Premier Inn Hotel.
Completion of Phase 1 is due March 2017 with completion of Phase 2 December 2017.
The Harbour Hotel & Spa, Southampton is a striking super-yacht inspired design. Inside the hotel consists of 85 bedrooms, 12 luxury apartments, award winning spa brand including swimming pool, sauna, steam room, razul room, gym and 7 luxury treatment rooms. Other key features include the ground floor ‘The Jetty’ restaurant with luxury external terrace, rooftop cocktail bar named ‘HarBAR on 6th’ featuring outdoor pizza oven and cooking facilities, dramatic double height events space including private bar and feature reception incorporating helical illuminated staircase.
The hotel is designed to reflect the Southampton’s thriving marine culture and heritage. J&B Hopkins were involved in extensive upfront 3D Revit design and worked closely with key members of the professional team to co-ordinate and plan the services installation then bringing to reality from initial concept to finished installation.
Full mechanical design & build project for a new 61 bedroom Premier Inn Hotel and Beefeater Restaurant in Farnham. The design requirements outlined by Whitbread Plc are very precise from meeting energy targets to ensuring noise criteria are met. However, with over 20 years working on Whitbread sites the high standards of comfort factors and installation are met throughout the design and build process.
With the project now complete feedback has been very positive from the client.
