This innovative two-storey development serves as a vital hub for studying and diagnosing diseases, utilising the latest advancements in medical technology—from routine blood tests to advanced genetic screening.
Our M&E solutions ensured that the facility meets the highest standards for healthcare environments, providing efficient, reliable, and future-proofed building services.
Mechanical systems included HTM-compliant ventilation systems, DX cooling for precise climate control, CL3 lab transit barriers for MEP services, four-pipe multifunctional ASHP heating and cooling, carbon filtration for air quality management, domestic water services and a centralised deionised water system, laboratory gas installations, and cold room facilities.
Electrical systems included general and emergency lighting, small power distribution, electrical supplies to mechanical MCCP panels, VRF systems for energy-efficient climate control, advanced fire alarm and security systems—including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access controls—and integration with the Building Energy Management System (BEMS) for optimised performance.
A “Centre of Excellence” for the research and development of specialist filters for process and life sciences industry based in Portsmouth. Many specialist and process services were installed to accommodate the clients bespoke requirements. Extensive liaising with each of the scientists was required to determine the end users exact requirements. Full laboratory ventilation and temperature control systems were installed to meet specialist demands including 17x fume cupboards.
