The Art Deco style pool redevelopment at Butlins, Bognor Regis involved the delivery of an exciting new leisure pool facility to replace the existing, which has now been demolished. Working to a demanding timescale to achieve completion and to facilitate business-critical opening dates for our Client.

Complete commitment to the project from planning, through design and on site was necessary to tie together a myriad of complex technical and sequencing challenges, working closely and collaboratively with all the specialist trades and the technical team.

Including four new leisure pools, multiple flume rides and water features, a ‘Toddler Seaside Playground’ pool with games, and a lazy river within the vibrant pool hall. Also servicing support facilities including large changing rooms catering for families and disabled visitors, café with viewing area and staff facilities.

Permission was granted for the demolition of the existing longstanding Pavilion Restaurant within the beautiful grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. The new steel framed restaurant boasts a 400-cover capacity – divided into 117 internal places, 204 external places and a further 80 externally sheltered places. Striking in its design, the Pavilion Restaurant’s appearance is capped by a floating roof over a glass façade on all elevations. The catering kitchen and the functional areas are visually “encased” within an aged brass clad feature wall. This enhances the economic vitality and long-term conservation of the Gardens whilst protecting its status as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, Registered Park, Garden and Conservation Area.

The project is a pre designed scheme incorporating all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services, which has been enhanced into a fully co-ordinated scheme along with the Architect, Client and Main Contractor.
