Abbotswood Court is made up of a 60 bedroom residential care home set on the edge of the historic market town of Romsey, within the new Abbotswood development of new homes and nestling within a conservation area. Hopkins carried out a design & build contract for all mechanical, electrical and public health services on the development and were involved in the design from the initial planning application stage. The project achieved a “Very Good” rating under BREEAM in part achieved by the innovative services design Hopkins provided which included gas absorption heat pumps to generate domestic hot water.
