Netley court is made up of a 65 bedroom residential care home and nine luxury apartments overlooking Southampton water. The existing Netley Court School was retained and fully refurbished and significantly extended to accommodate the new facilities. J&B Hopkins carried out a design & build contract for all mechanical, electrical and public health services on the development and were involved in the design from the initial planning application stage. The project achieved an “Excellent” rating under BREEAM in part achieved by the innovative services design J&B Hopkins provided which included Photovoltaic Panels (PV), gas absorption heat pumps to generate domestic hot water and rainwater harvesting.
