A new teaching and administration facility for the Creative and Cultural Institute Department of the University of Portsmouth. This D&B project utilised multi-service rafts which provided heating, cooling, lighting and acoustic requirements in order to meet the clients requirements of open plan teaching spaces. Hopkins carried out a design & build contract for all mechanical, electrical and public health services on the development and were involved in the design from the initial planning application stage. The project achieved a “Very Good” rating under BREEAM in part achieved by the innovative services design Hopkins provided which included ground source heating.
